This is the newest form of my avatar. I've drawn this shark species for a while (I did a short story on them for a scholarship competition) and I really, really like how I draw them, so I decided one should be my Avatar. I actually had a shark for a good while, but I changed it to a green dragon. Now he's back to being a shark, but with a more casual outfit rather then some mage coat. I think my favorite part, besides his body, is his shirt. I'd so wear a hawaiian shirt if I wasn't so self conscious. XD If the sharks in my book wore a lot of clothing under the water, they'd so wear something like that.

This drawing also marks an awesome attempt at a new way of coloring. Instead of coloring the light shade, medium shade and dark shade seperately, I do the entire drawing in the lightest color, color what is shaded in the medium color, and color what is even darker with the dark color. It blends the color really well, along with making it appear more vivid. I love it. ^_^

Also, his left foot (from his point of view) and the end of his tail is under a puddle of water, so that's why the coloring is different. When I color the BG some time this week, that'll be more obvious.

And for those that might be bothered by this: How can he breathe above water? Take your pick: 1. He's a species of land shark, 2. He has some special "Breathe Air" spell cast on him, or my personal favorite: 3. He's not real so it doesnt matter! ^^
